Random Online Gaming
Here we go with links to flash games that catch my fancy. I’ll update these when I find new games I like.
- Assembler - physics-based block game. Move crates around, stack objects, try to get the green crates within the green boxes on each level. Far more interesting than I can make it sound (2009-01-07)
- light-bot - program your robot visually to accomplish set goals. Limited “programming” space forces careful thought in re-using “code” to achieve goals (2008-10-04)
- Type Racer - multi-player typing test and racing game. I absolutely hate how it moves the text you are typing as you go. This slows me down to a massive degree. If they would give the option to show everything in a non-moving paragraph, I could do so much better (2008-04-25)

- Starwave - another short, simple game - Defend the planet via bombs, portals, and blasters (2008-04-07)

- Planarity - Simplicity itself - move the endpoints so no lines cross each other (2008-03-02)

- Vector Tower Defense 2 - Another tower defense style game, but this is my favorite to date (2008-02-15)

- Bloons - pop balloons with darts (added 2008-02-14)
- Iron Dukes - a piratey adventuring combat RPG-ish offering - downloadable version available (added 2008-02-12)

- Shootin’ Starz - Dead-simple reflex game with simple, bright, catchy explosions
- The Fancy Pants Adventure World 2 - a truly catchy, simple game with a simple look that’s just wonderfully addictive
- Reflections - place and rotate mirrors to reflect a laser beam on to a light bulb. Easily understood but often challenging game that is far more fun than you might guess from the description
- Desktop Tower Defense - multiple versions available at this site. This is one of the easiest yet most addictive web-based games I’ve ever played.
- Portal: The Flash Version - if you’ve played Portal, you already know you want to try this
- Winterbells - What could be funnier than making a bunny jump super-high in the air and then watching him fall meteorically back to earth?
