- Sun’s Java Community Process changing to adopt the influence of open source. Hopefully Sun will actually do open source instead of taking the “Yes we do it, as long as people don’t expect their contributions to show up or to get credit for their works” philosophy of the past
- Microsoft trying to help open source modeling tool Blender improve Windows support? Well, maybe not so much help Blender as impede Linux and real open source
